Ocean and pool Certification $625

The Level 1 Freediver course combines both the Basic Freediver (dry and pool training) and the open water sessions, giving you the full freediving experience in one program.

You’ll begin with the Basic Freediver requirements, covering theory, relaxation and breathing techniques, plus pool training in static breath-hold, dynamic underwater swimming, and safety skills.

From there, once a group of at least four divers is ready, we’ll head out by boat to Simpson Reef for your open water dives. Depths here range from about 15m at low tide to 18m at high.

Using a surface float with a weighted line, you’ll gradually progress deeper as your confidence builds. You’ll also practice rescues and essential safety procedures in open water.

To complete the course, you’ll need to achieve a minimum depth of 12m.
